Over the past few years, Lisa Stanley has been building a reputation as one of Ireland's brightest newcomers to the entertainment scene. First, through her success as a finalist in Ireland's National Song Contest, Eurosong. Then as a featured performer in the touring show, "Dancehall Queues and Hucklebuck Shoes" and finally, touring the dancehall and theatre circuit on both side of the border with her own Country band.

Daughter of Irish entertainment legends Maisie McDaniel and Fintan Stanley, Lisa has been writing songs and performing since her early teens in her native Sligo. Her latest project is tribute to her late mother: "Lisa Stanley Sings The Hits of Maisie McDaniel."

Launched in her home town of Sligo, the CD features ten of Maisie's biggest songs, including duets with Irish country stars, Philomena Begley and Sandy Kelly, along with Maisie's sister Deirdre McDaniel and Fintan Stanley in his first appearance on an Irish CD in over twenty years.

In the coming weeks and months, Lisa will be on tour promoting her tribute to Maisie. At the same time, she has started working on a batch of new songs and is planning to go into the studio next year to record a CD of mostly original numbers.
